Our Family - Christmas 2003

Paul, Ron, Daniel, Jenny, Andrew

Monqiue, Cyndi, Jacoby, Shawna, Dianara

Hi, we are the Young Family. We have one biological and seven adopted children. In 1986 we started adopting special kids who needed a mom and a dad. Why? Because we wanted to make a difference, we wanted to do something that counted. Each one of our children are unique and special. We know that God made a way for us to adopt each one. Each one is a story of a miracle and of God’s hand of protection! God is GOOD!

September 13, 2009.  Death of our Daughter Monique

Monique (age 19) passed away today from complication from the Swine Flu.  Three days after Cyndi's Memorial Service Monique collapsed. We rushed her to emergency and she spent 14 days in ICU. After about 11 days in ICU the doctors warned us that she was not getting better and was unlikely to live. She passed quickly and quietly this afternoon.

Right now there is still a huge whole in my heart, but i know that will fade and that memories of a loving daughter and a Worshiper of God will remain until the day I see her again in Heaven. She can finally dance!

Below are links of a slide show put together to celebrate Monique's life and a PDF file of the Bulletin from the Memorial Service.

August 22, 2009.  Death of our Daughter Cyndi and grandson Keshon

Cyndi (age 20) who was 8 months pregnant and her husband were in a car accident early Saturday morning. They got T-boned by a pick-up truck of teenagers who ran a flashing red light. They plowed into Cyndi’s side. They had to cut them out of the car. They did an immediate c-section when Cyndi arrived at the hospital. Doctors were unable to save our new grandson Keshon. They were able to revive Cyndi at least to get her heart beating, but she had massive internal injuries. By the time we got to the hospital, they let us see the baby (dead) and Jenny got to hold him. He was a precious gift from God. I look forward to knowing him in Heaven. We met with the doctor and he told us Cyndi had extremely severe injuries and they had to revive her many times already. He told us, she was unlikely to live. We did get to see her while she was still alive, although she had never regain conscience. She probably never even saw what hit them. About an hour later her heart stopped again and she passed on. I miss her so much. But she is in heaven with her baby and I look forward to seeing her there. Cyndi’s husband is relatively “fine”, they released him from the hospital the same day.

Right now there is still a huge whole in my heart, but i know that will fade and that memories of a loving daughter, a wife, a mother, and a woman of God will remain until the day I see her again in Heaven.

Psalm 139:16-17a:  You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God!
